Performed cooling tune up service on heat pump minisplit system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, shutdown, cleaning of filters, checking indoor and outdoor coils, treatment of drains. Everything looks and runs great!
Performed AC cooling tune up service on heat pump mini split system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, shutdown, cleaning of filters, checking of indoor and outdoor coils, treatment of drains. Everything looks and runs great!
Found unit compressor locked out on thermal lock out due to start capacitor failing and run capacitor starting to go out of range. Recommend replacing both at same time. System compressor needs to cool, will return tomorrow to complete repair and test system. Pulled unit outdoor disconnect to allow system to cool. Replaced run capacitor, start capacitor, and potential relay. Checked compressor operation by manually pushing contactor in. System will work now with a call for coolung.
Found system thermostat programming caused thermostat not to recognize outdoor unit. Reprogrammed thermostat and then cycled system to check operation. Everything came on normally and is working within manufacturer's specifications.
